Ranking: Once a Colonel in the emperors army, now a smithy and noble.

Homeland: Milka

Element: Fire and Ice

Personality: A truly sarcastic person at heart, but a caring person at that. Most of the time it's quite hard to figure what's roaming through his head. The only people that are easily able to read into his thought and personality are those that already know him... mostly the Emperor.

Likes: Making swords, his best and greatest pass time.

Dislikes: Those that would choose to be ignorant, and those that would pass blame.

Special Connections: A colonel that served directly to the Emperor Ahzdeha Lucien Mordred Diandem. Though sometimes it would seem the two were actually friends than leader and follower.

History: Following in his fathers footsteps of his business in being a smithy Sai Masaharu lives up to the legend of his fathers Sword crafting. His father Nijito Masaharu made swords with a passion that stood almost unrivaled throughout any lands, though there were a few that were his equal. Sai being only 14 years old has already surpassed his fathers ability in making swords. Sai was orphaned at the age of ten, his father was a colonel in the Emperors 5th division Imperial Army.

The 5th division was a small, but strong effective unit that was used as however they were currently needed. The division acted as negotiators, defenders of Diandem, Intelligence, Spies, and sometimes when needed to the swords of the front line, which was rare. Nijito was truly a brilliant Colonel for the leader of the small division, he was known quite well for his tactics that he employed.. at least for those tactics that were seen. It's best title he was known for was the Shield of Diandem, from of course when he was protecting the city from invasion, be it something important or minor. If he was order not to let single soul over the City walls, then no one got over.

When Nijito wasn't leading the small division he was acting as a smithy. He catered mostly to those who could afford his work, other nobles, and surprisingly a few orders to the Emperor himself for what ever reason. He was also a father and husband, his son Sai and his wife Sayako.

Nijito was indeed talented at most of everything he set his mind to. In the smithy world he created many swords, the four that stood out were the Damascus Uchigatana, Uchigatana Gin Tsubasa, Honekazari No Tachi, and the Yagura no Tachi. The Damascus Uchigatana hold no true power, it is a blade made purely for beauty and for cutting, it is mostly chosen and used by Military officers of the lower ranks. The Uchigatana Gin Tsubasa is easily one of his best creations, only one in existence and in his possession. It was named because of the design of the scabbard, and hold the power to nullify any spell of the basic elements Wind, Water, Earth, Fire, and lighting, but can not sway the power of light and Dark. The Honekazari no Tachi, was made of the bones of the fallen, it has the power to reanimate the dead for very limited time and is currently in the hands of the head Necromancer in the Mage Academy. The Yagura no Tachi is a blade of beauty, design, and power. If used correctly it has the power to hold sway over element of Darkness. It was made as a request from the Emperor and since taking payment and giving it to him, it has never been seen again.

He used a controversial method to making his swords, he used the elements he had control over to shape and make them. The fires he used were 2-3 time hotter than the normal flames which by all means should have turned the swords to liquid almost immediately. But it was in his technique of controlling both fire and ice that he was able to shape and make the swords he created. Elves sought for this ability, humans sought it, but none would ever learn of it.

As Sai grew older he passed his knowledge of Sword crafting to him, and just like his father he learned quickly.

One day Nijito was called to the castle for service, he was once again asked to be the Shield of Diandem and being a the Colonel of the 5th Division he had to fulfill his duty. No one was to enter nor leave the City, and it remained that way for two days until his unit was called back to the castle. He was dismissed back to his ordinary life just as he always had been after completing and assignment.

Upon entering his home however, he noticed things weren't as normal as ever. There was no roar from the smithy next door where his shop was, and the house wasn't clean as it usual was. He checked the smithy to find that the fire was out and a few of the swords were missing. He moved at a quicker pace throughout the house only gaining more speed until he found the objects of his worry laying near lifeless and cold. Sai covering his mother protectively with a sword still in hand. Rushing quickly to his sons side he took him into his arms and tried hurrying to someone that could possibly help, but never made it to the door as his son died there in his arms. Being the caring father and husband that he was, he wept for them, but acted as he planned, and burned both bodies in the smithy instantly as he re-lit the fires with his elemental control.

He had both succeeded and failed. He was indeed the Shield of Diandem, but he couldn't protect his family. But for that he swore revenge against whoever was responsible for their deaths.

After burning the bodies he returned to the castle under the veil of night where he met with the Emperor in the form of his only child Sai. Even though Ahzdeha could easily see through Nijito's form he remained in it. He informed Ahzdeha of what had happened, and divulged his plan. He would have the Emperor declare Nijito's death. When he would turn fourteen as his son would have, he would rejoin the military as a Colonel. But he would never remove his form as Sai and to this day he hasn't.

Four years since that day passed and Sai took up his position as the Colonel of Diandem's 5th Division Imperial Forces, where he recreated the division and leads to this day when ever needed. He is seen amongst the people of Diandem as a Child prodigy in Strategy and Sword crafting. Caring on his sons name as Sai.
